How to check test scores.

   There are a number of ways to check the scores of the current test.
 Please note that the scores will be erased if not saved before the next exercise.
 The easiest way is to Click the AGE Homework folder folder at your desktop

  The following appears
    
  

1    SCORE /MARKAH -
 
Displays a summary of the score for the exercise(s) just concluded.
 
2   Displays the answers sequentially from 1 to the last question. Indicates whether each answer is right or wrong.
 
3   Load/Checks all the scores in Ms Excel format. All the scores saved through item 4 within the C:\visless\score folder and   below can be recalled into the Ms Excel for teachers to consolidate or sort the answers  See below for details of this function.
 
4   Scores after each test can be saved into the C:/VISLESS/SCORE FOLDER.  From here teachers/students may want to transfer their scores to other sub folders within this main folder  C:/VISLESS/SCORE .
Note: Only answers stored in these folders can be accessed by AGE.
 
5   Click this button will lead the user to the C:/VISLESS/SCORE  folder.
 
6   Like item 4 this button will save the score to the drive designated by the user using item 9  "Set".
This is where students can save their scores to a diskette/pen drive for the teacher after doing the exercises.
 
7   Like item 5, this button will lead the user to the folder set by the item 9 "Set". In this case it is saved to
A drive.
 
8   This indicates upon clicking this bar, the score will be saved to the drive indicated here. In this case it is saved to  A drive
9   Clicking the set button will prompt the user to key in the letter representing the drive where the score will be saved to when item 6 is clicked or to the folder when item 7 is clicked.
 
10   This is the file name of the file where the score sheet is saved to. Long names is accepted. Click the bar and key in the name directly.
 
11   This is the name of the test paper or exercise that was or currently being done.
12   The name of the student doing the exercises/tests is keyed in here.
13   Allows the user to view the scores in either DOS editor mode or Windows' notepad mode. Click on it you will see a summary of the score for the current exercise/test.
 
14   Click to exit from the score module.

provides a summary of the scores.

 

3    Click "Check scores in MS Excel" will bring the user to an Excel page containing all the scores in
    a chosen folder especially the defaulted folder c:\visless\score
    Here teachers may choose to sort or separate all the answer sheets submitted by students. It is stored as raw data and no
     macro is used.  It is up to the teacher to sort and maintain the score sheets of various tests under the folder.

   
AGE will prompt for the type of extensions .e.g. files with  ".ans" extensions. Click this choice
   and AGE will display all folders within c:\visless\score containing answers with extensions ".ans"
   e.g.
  

   Click the folder containing all the required answer sheets  and AGE will display the scores as follows 
   in Windows MS  Excel.

From this spread sheet, teachers can sort and process the marks according to their needs.
 


 

 

   
            Other ways to access score
 There are other methods to access the score summary

  1. From the Windows' Desktop click AGE Homework folder and AGE Homework in Html icon.
      Click the Current score link.

  2. The AGE educator Annual functions page accessed through AGE Educator Annual

  3. The AGE Homework Generator Annual page . accessed through AGE Homework generator icon
         When in these functions pages,  right click the mouse.
         An option for checking the score will appear. Click that to access it.

  4  When user is doing the exercises/tests. The bottoms screen will appear with the button score

 
 
 During the exercise, at the bottom of the screen will be the following. Click score
