System requirements to run AGE

AGE runs on Windows 98X and above except Windows Vista, through Microsoft's Internet Explorer for online and offline access.

For those using Firefox, only offline mode is possible. That means to run the modules, users will have to download the modules and run from their desktops (From the AGE Homework folder. From there it would automatically load up Internet Explorer).

Version for Windows Vista is currently not ready and undergoing development.

For those who wish to use AGE for the foreseeable future, are advised not to install or upgrade to Vista - install Windows XP instead in the machines.

For current Vista users, it is recommended that users try the free Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 where one can run Windows XP under virtual mode. You need a separate license for the Win XP from Microsoft though.

Another possibility is to set the computer to dual boot, XP and Vista. This should be done through qualified computer dealers.

We therefore strongly recommend users to purchase Windows XP until a later date when AGE is compatible to be used in Windows Vista.
